Reign Invade the Steel City!

Week 5 of the 2012 WFA season matches up two teams celebrating their 10th season.  Through the years their paths have never crossed.  That ends this weekend as Thee Toledo Reign travels to Cupples Stadium to face the Pittsburgh Passion.

The Reign (1-2) come out of their bye week looking to shake the effects of a disappointing 41-13 road loss to the West Michigan Mayhem.  The Reign rekindled their offensive fire putting up over 250 yards of total offense but it wasn’t enough to counter a strong start by the Mayhem.  This weekend the Reign will look for a strong performance against the Pittsburgh Passion.

The Passion are coming off a 49-0 defeat of the Cleveland Fusion last weekend.  The Passion have a very successful history at every stop the past 10 years.  With playoff appearances four of the last five years as members of three different leagues (NWFA, IWFL and WFA) the Passion have consistently provided elite competition to their opponents, and the Reign will take on that challenge for the first time this weekend.
