Thee Toledo Reign would like to congratulate the Southern Michigan Timberwolves on winning the AAA National Championship! On January 14th in Daytona Beach, Florida, the Timberwolves defeated the New York Rebels in the Palm Bowl in a nail-biting 25-24 contest. The Reign would like to extend special congratulations to two of our own that are also members of the Southern Michigan Timberwolves.
Long time Reign veteran Kristi "Popeye" Lillie completed her second season as the Defensive Line and Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Timberwolves. Kristi is the first woman on the Timberwolves coaching staff in team history. This season will be Kristi's 15th with the Reign, the only player to participate in all 15 seasons of the Reign's tenure in women's football.
Reign Line Coach Larry Stewart is an Offensive Lineman for the Timberwolves, playing multiple positions along the line in his 4th year with the team. Larry is entering his 4th season as a member of the Reign coaching staff.
