What a great weekend of football during the WFA championship weekend! Friday started off with the Tier 3 championship, which saw the Acadiana Zydeco stop the Richmond Black Widows 2 point conversion with less than 10 seconds left in the game to hold on for the 20-18 victory. In the nightcap, the St. Louis SLAM turned in a dominant performance, defeating the Tampa Bay Inferno 38-7 to win the Tier 2 championship.

The second day of the WFA Championship Weekend took the excitement from Friday night and cranked it up! The day opened with Reign Defensive Tackle #43 Octavia "Tae" Griswold and the National All-American Team defeating the American All-Americans 56-19! Tae recorded a sack and was in on the action on several plays during the contest, and we are very proud of her efforts.

Finally, the Tier 1 Championship was a thriller until the very end, where a timely interception with one minute left in the game clinched the victory for the D.C. Divas over the Dallas Elite 28-26! This was a back and forth affair all night long and everyone in the stadium was on the edge of their seats to the very end!

Thee Toledo Reign would like to congratulate all the teams that participated in championship games, all the All-Americans who traveled to Pittsburgh to participate in the All-American game, and all the fans who came out to support women's football!
